Preface: I use a DS3 here and consider myself an 'average skill' player of Dust. With my core and respective weapons skills maxed, this is what I run in public contracts and Faction Warfare because I enjoy the ludicrously close encounters of a mobile glass cannon that goes down swinging.
The Fit:MMMM @ 17k restock with Myofibiril stack being most costly aspect of fit.
1x Apex 'Tiger' Scout 3x Complex Myofibiril 1x Plasma Cannon 1x Nova Knives 1x Packed Av Grenade 1x Thukker SKIN 1x BPO Remote Explosive 1x BPO Cloaking Device 1x BPO Cardiac Reg 1x Enhanced CPU 1x BPO profile dampener
I never really ran melee builds seriously before the addition of jump bonuses to Myofiribril stims; it was the imputes to fulling skilling into those modules. After the glee of a newfound mobility of bunny hopping tempered a bit, I've begun to explore picking my brawls with fist fights in mind and it's been wonderful. The 495hp damage per whack can do wonders, and it's so damn satisfying to be able to see the flying fist animation with the plasma cannon melee clock someone out.

The interesting benefit of an APEX scout suit is not having to worry about fitting requirements of a cloak, they are 0 CPU and 0 PG because of the 'no skill requirements' of the APEX suits. Even though it's a weak, low time cloak, it's a tool nonetheless than can come in handy under various circumstances.
