What really is the point for new corps to start competing in planetary conquest battles?
Clone packs cost 50 million
You don't even make a profit playing PC unless you are a KD *****, or are set to defend homepoint...

They won't cost that much, that's the point. You earn enough over time through command points to launch a clone pack attack. Purchasing the clone pack with ISK will be more of a service charge.

^ This, basically. PC 2.0 is set to make it easier for new corps to get into PC. Just be patient...
