Back when that was the most OP thing there was, and such a thing as "caldari bias" existed.
The only proof of said bias left is that large blasters are black instead of green.

why were supply depot models even changed? They were caldari before, and caldari now.

The original models were pretty neutral, imo. In fact, if we're assuming that all installations are 'neutral' in appearance than we're basically saying that the Caldari are the most 'neutral' aesthetic-wise
