As far as on the ground, I think you'll find that much of the work done over the past few months have been to balance weapons and suits, so there's not as clear of a FoTM as there used to be. That said, armor is still better than shields in most circumstances.

Also, there's been a huge change to myofibs as they now not only increase melee damage, but let you jump higher.

Matchmaking has also changed greatly -- you'll find your competition significantly stronger than before with far fewer easy noob kills.
