Dust 514 is as immortal as the clone soldiers we play as.
Also fits perfectly with the lore description of all 4 nations cancelling their immortal soldier programs, leaving the total number of them very small.
If this game moves on to a better platform someday, I bet you anything they'll have this be part of the lore.

I would love this if it made it to lore.
I would actually feel like it validated our struggle a lot.
The lore would read something along the lines of complications of the program, with a very small long term survival rate. The ones who manged to survive and thrive, although small in number, helped foster in the new LEGION project, acting as Instructors and advisors, with some going as far as to offer their services again to test the new clone bodies.
Combine this with a memorial towards the "Warlords" and a free invite to Legion, and I'd be one happy supporter.

DUST 514 doesn't have the requisite pathos to truly die. It will limp along in it's nerdy fanboy fame until some other (probably totally unrelated) replacement wedges the final few OCD adherents away.
Nothig can kill DUST, it never truly lived.
