For a nanohive that requires very minimal sp investment, and provides both good armor repair and resupply rate, but poor amount of nanite clusters, to buff it from 1 max carried to 6 completely forgoes that drawback.
It is SOO damn easy to fit too. 10 cpu, 2 pg. ANYONE can fit these. Each hive explodes after it gives you about 2 grenades. So thats 12 grenades, armor repair and fast resupply rate for very little sp investment, fitting cost, and isk.
Why run anything else now? Why buff from 1 to 6? Every other std/adv hive went from 2 to 6. Thats 3x as much. Compact hives got buffed to 6x as much nanohives.

Yes, 2-3 would have been better, but who cares, they have such a little area and you can't stack them.

I was sad when they got kissed by the previous buff but 6?
I agree that's way to many. I usually use them as filler on fits that are almost ful and can't fit any other equipment because it's the only thing that fits....
And those armor reps!!!

What was the effect on gauged hives?
The only difference between them and Ishukone hives was that they cost more, and gave you extra carried.
Do they no longer give you extra carried, but still cost more?

The only suit in the game that should be able to have an increased max carry amount is a Logi suit, imho.

You can carry 9 of them :P
But they reduced the amount able to be deployed to 2 :/

lol i dont complain. Lets just put that thing on all of my assault suits cause why not? Armor rep, good resupply rate damn easy to fit whats not to like?

Seems CCP had trouble doing a x3 for all equipment so did a blanket amount for them instead per tier. Which is why the compact can carry six.

Well if you enjoy dropping 3 hives to respply then you (anybody) can do it.
Ps. Proto suits have more than enough space to fit whatever you only want so these compact hives are going to be good for players running in ADV/STD gear, which is minority.

The buff they received is a god send. I don't know why people are complaining.
It's like all the forum warriors try to find something good and complain about it until it's broken again, and not in the constructive, balance oriented way.
I have more or less invested stock in compact hives because it's literally the only equipment I can fit on my assault and especially my commando. And the fact that in the past it was common for me to run out of ammo coupled with the fact that commandos of no effective tank active or passive, it was very critical that I had to choose the right time to use it. Now I don't have to worry as much about saving it like emergency funds.
