All combat within Dust 514 takes place, in real-time, on planets found in the Eve Online universe. The player alliances and corporations of Eve Online can hire Dust 514 players as mercenaries to fight for control over planets; the outcome of such battles will affect the sovereignty of player-run political powers in Eve Online. A direct form of interaction comes in the form of "orbital bombardments". Orbital bombardments allow a player in Eve Online to provide direct assistance to friendly forces in a battle in Dust 514. If a player in Eve Online is in position above a planet with proper bombardment equipment, the player can fire upon a target designated by a friendly Dust 514 player So says outside "observers."
EVE: Online and DUST 514, supposedly connected. While we are in the same universe, share the same namesake, created by the same company, and can have the same corporations; there is not a lot of interactions between the two. Factional Warfare and Orbital Bombardments are really the only things that connect the two.
I know we have reached our limit. The only foreseeable salvation for us is Legion, aka DUST on PC. But, I am hoping for so much more interaction with our sister game. Where is this political convergence? FW outcomes? That makes no difference whatsoever in EVE let alone DUST. Is EVE able to aid assistance in Planetary Conquest? Actually, that I do not know, because I have not been in a PC in a very long time.
I want to actually see more interaction here. Able to see the battleships up in the sky, the way I have dreamed. I want to someday see Valkyries burning through space while Mercs are fading on the ground. I know, it can't be done while DUST is on the PS3, but a man can dream.

Can you maybe not quote Hilmar when he clearly quoted Starship Troopers in an attempt to appear hip to a nerd crowd?
Really its kind of disrespectful to the source.

There, changed the source. It didn't matter, I could've said Professor Ludwig Van Giggleshits said that and it still would've made my point. Now, can you say something constructive?

Please for the love of god do not let EVE have a large impact on the dust battlefield PC wise at least. 1 super OB every 3min is bit much. if you want more integration on a interactive level please reduce OB times and add something else.

Generally, a conquest is an invasion and overthrow of power by a greater force. When you see the Empire invading a world, you don't think they would JUST send stormtroopers to conquer that world do you? Do they have a legion of Destroyers encasing the planet or is it just clones pew pewing at the fleshy guys. Yes, they send the stormtroopers in to do the dirty work, but the armada has backing power incase the clones aren't enough. I'm not saying Super OB total destruction is a good thing and should be employed in PC. I'm just saying, we are suppose to be connected with EVE, yet, Planetary Conquest, something an Armada uses a legion of battleships for, has nothing to do with it. PC is just infantry yet FW and Pubs have infantry and slight EVE interaction with a OB.

Im not sure how minimg works on eve since ive never played basic summary buddy gave me was ships farms resources to make isk e.t.c perhaps make the districts owned by corperations allow safer areas of farming or possibly produce resources for them to give incentive to both fw pilots and corp pilots. |
