Unlike EVE, it's only a one time payment of ~36k AUR to lift restrictions. Trial account limitations in Eve.
The big point to consider is are we now in a state of 'pay-to-exploit' or 'pay-to-progress-faster' ? If a player must pay to pool more resources passively through alt farming, how is CCP likely to respond? The practice now helps the bottom line.

You still need to play on your alts tho, so unless you consider Dust a full time job, its not worth it.

The only reason this is even an issue is because some people made a **** load of alts to collect the rewards from the newsletter and what not.
If not for that, who would even care if new players could trade? Not like they'd have anything worth trading in the first place. So, as usual, exploiters ruin it for honest players

Were these restrictions in EVE in place from the start? If so, there's the problem. Dust never had these restrictions behind a paywall and now, all of sudden, CCP puts them in place under the reasoning of "stopping exploits" even though donating to corp wallet gets around this. All this does is put a very unique feature in FPSes behind a paywall.
You can't handle all this synergy.

As players have brought up before, if the ISK generation aspect of the warbarge is the issue let's remove that and move to an end of public match bonus payout system...of something similar.

You can still receive items and send isk through corps so I don't see the issue
Yeah you can't sell things but isk can be generated by playing the game

Very interesting. A lot to think about with this thread. Good point with the whole "What would CCP do anyways?" line of thought |

No one needed trading for 2.5 to 3 years. That's not a big deal.
Sending ISK. Well.. people under rank 4 don't have much to send anyway.

But that is not the main problem we are discussing, unlike EVE, Dust is supposed to be a free to play, i've never had problems with boosters, aur gear or any other thing which cost money. But what they are doing now is cut a part of the game for some players, instead of add more stuff for people who want to buy things. Simple trading is not secondary or complex, there is no need for restriction imo.
