So I skilled heavily into ARs and decided, with a buff to bursts incoming, to test them out and see what buff would be good for them. I have to say, I can't really see but one thing that I don't like. More on that in a minute, first the good points.
First, it has actually nice damage application. I was running on GalAssault 5 sharpshooter 5, and wow does it shred anything right in front of you. I have gone 20/0 with little effort on my part. It decimates shields at prof 5, and even armor suits (sentinels no less) have retreated in the face of me.
The only thing i don't like is the timing of it. When I'm pulsing the trigger it feels like the gun "hiccups" and I miss a burst quite often. I'm not sure what causes it, and I can kind of mitigate it, but even when I'm solely focusing on it (ie: not fighting, just firing into a wall) I tend to get the hiccup and lose a burst. If we could fix that hiccup, I think the burst would be just fine.
If it still needs soe help after that, I would say give it a 2% damage buff, but that is all.

The scope makes you think they're in range when they're actually not 30% of the time. Only thing I dislike, really. |

no hiccup, you can fire it with perfect succession, the only time it hiccups on me is when there's too much lag or even just a fair amount of lag |

Funny??.... The Scrambler rifle doesn't suffer from any fire hiccup issues does it? The Tac and burst AR both have that hiccup between shots. They were once compared in a video that showed the AR's shots being interrupted by this "hiccup".

....... just saying Agree. The thing about the BuAR isn't that it's a bad rifle, it's that it's damage application is unpredictable. Also with the CR's range, reliable damage application and dps....the BuAR is a personal choice, but not necessarily a rational one.

I think we need to find the source of this hiccup and remove it. Run some metrics after that. It's possible that's all that is needed to make the burst viable.
