I noticed that when you have a vehicle deployed for you that it has a green icon to signify that it's yours. I think this is pretty neat, but if vehicles you own get green icons, why can't your deployed equipment?
I'd like to know if that's my up-link in the corner or if it got used up/destroyed and someone else set up a new one. I'd like to know when my nano-hives have been used up and I need to place another. I'd definitely like to know when my RE is no longer the active one at a terminal.
I generally play either a Logi or a Hacker/Deployment Scout. Clearly bandwidth isn't a problem for a Logi, but for my Scout I like to know if my gear is still up so I don't drop another up-link that didn't need deploying (and destroy the previous one) or place a second RE at a terminal, just in case that first one isn't mine. I've been in a few matches where someone dropped an RE that never got noticed by the enemy team, but never got used by our own. And it just stayed there the whole time. So I tend to place my own down, even if it may already be covered by someone else. |

Actually, after paying attention to my map while getting in and out of the vehicle rather than just glancing up while I'm in it, it seems the vehicle only gets a green icon while you're riding inside of it and returns to blue when out. What in the world is up with this? That's just plain silly. I guess this is more a programming error than an intended feature. |

On a similar note, I'd also like to know which drop up-links are mine because I'm completely fed up with trolls and saboteurs on my team setting up-links inside inescapable buildings or in other places players aren't actually supposed to be, leading to half the team being stuck inside a box with no way out aside from suicide or leaving the battle. And if you've got someone on your team putting spawn points in positions like that, you don't know where is safe to spawn in the general area and it's either use a default spawn or CRU every single time, forcing you further away from a tactical position or from helping your teammates in a tight spot, or risk ending up in the same situation and losing another suit. I really, really, seriously want to know where my up-links are so that I know where at least one safe up-link is. |
