How on earth do you manage to get logged onto PSN with that?! I can't log on at my parents' house because BT are the worst ISP known to man, woman or beast. If connection drops below 2MBps, PSN kicks me. At under 5Mbps, dust is almost unplayable.

But I call shenanigans on the UK being 30Mbps. Unless you've got fibre optic, connection sucks. Or maybe that's just in Scotland... I've got no friends who can get above 20Mbps unless they're fibre optic. I hover between 15 and 20 myself, and won't have access to anything better for the foreseeable future, since us Northerners aren't a priority when it comes to speedy interwebz.

No. People who play in squads with people local to them at peak times for their region they are less likely to experience this phenomena - whereas if you play solo, fw, pc, off peak times or any combination of these, you are more likely to experience problems due to the wide range of pings. As I said just a theory (no programmer) but it fits my experience and seems more likely than the conspiracy theories.
