So id like to know why people are pricing officer guns so high. Now considering there better than proto weapons. Which are priced around 50 thousand. Why are people pricing weapons at half a mil. Suits are even worse. People are trying to sell suits for 5-10 mil.
Please don't respond with because there rare. The not, lots of us have loads of officer sitting around . I asked several vets like myself and we have over 100 diffident weapons which we don't touch .
What do you think would be a reasonable price for a certain weapon or suit?

Prices are whatever people will pay.
I won't be surprised if prices settle around 200-300K for weapons.
But suits will probably stay above 2 mil

Look, market prices are always based on supply and demand.
Not only are some items more rare, but some people have more ISK to throw around. So 1mil isk might mean something different to you than someone else.
That is just how things work.
If something is too much for you, don't buy it. If someone else thinks it is worth that price, they will pay it. If no one thinks the item is worth it, no one buys it, and the seller is forced to either keep it or lower the rate.
Economics isn't that hard at a basic level.

Combination of things.
Sellers are offering the opportunity to have short term sustainable stocks of Officer Tier weapons which are in most circumstances better than Prototype Tier.
Players are paying for a competitive edge and frankly Officer weapons are "that rare" you cannot guarantee a reliable supply of them. Thus at this point where many players are demanding officer tier weapons and many others are supplying the prices of those weapons is higher that would normally be.
At present my own prices are sitting at "more than some, less than others" and that's how I want them to stay.

On day one I was snapping them up for a million a piece because I can, I'm down 300mill since trading came in but I have over 1400 Officer Weapons.... 450 Aldins 150 Beacons...... That some serious AV for PC's when they fix PC.
Now I'm not paying more than 400k for officer weapon or 2mill per suit. I paid higher prices on day 1 to guarantee myself a large stock.
I think officer gear will level out at 200-400k depending on the person & suits 1mill each.

Officer suits will always be more than 1 mil, I price weapons based on how useful I think they are from 100k to 900k. I price experimental weapons about 100k more than their officer counterparts
