Our new policy is not to mix features and server side changes to derisk deployments. There is no gain in doing them at the same time, and what you may think is trivial may not be. During QA testing its better to have less changes interfering with each other.

Much for the reason of not seeing a post such as this, I thought I would ask for every ones feedback on this OP.
Just a query along the line.... knowing that SKINS is the only way that we are going to get racial lolParity for vehicals.
What is the community thoughts about losing the ability to fly Logisitics Dropships?
Because I have not heard a single mention that for 2 years a vehicle that used to be able to fly the skys has not been mentioned in the current process of Vehicle Parity Bugfix. Now, this is current and in progress, and the fact that not a single word about logistics drop ships is very concerning to myself and a wider spread pilots network within the game. It was bad enough when they were in the game forge guns would 2 shot them, but that was a forge gun issue at the time which now has been fixed.
I for one, would like thoughts about how many of you miss the Black and Yellow Logistics Dropships hovering above your squad in support, and wether or not you want them to be playable again.
I sure as hell do, but I fear the models and their placeholders have been taken in coding and will never be back in the game.

Their model is the same as a regular DS.
The coding is a matter of changing stats and adding a rep module.

I personally want an APC before we get logistics dropships.
i.e. a vehicle that heals/resupplies/spawns players, but doesn't have firepower or fast movement speed. Even if it's a reskin of a tank or LAV.
Unless we get a vehicle only mode, or a better transport assist bonus, or cloaking dropships, I don't see a reason for logistics dropships.

Logi Dropships were already in the game, so your opinion about what you want to be introduced new from scratch over something that was already, has me confused.
Both the logi LAVS and Dropships, that fill the roll of squad support, were taken away with spawning, fire support, remote reps.
When it comes to Transport Assist Bonus, that was not even implemented during the time logistics vehicles were deployable, and cloak dropships were never ever deployed because why would you even, at the time they epically the Eyrix Logi Dropship could be taken down with a light breeze, and used to cost 2.4 million isk.
Ask any old vet about the Charybidis, or the Logi LAV attached to Proto Tank with reps, just how hard that was to break? or how awesome it was to see a dropship remote rep another dropship while bugging out over the field to seek shelter...
Now, there will be a lot of people think the same as you Shayz, why would we want logistics vehicles back, because if you were ever in a squad with guys that knew how to use one to the squads, teams, advantage you would recognise the lack of that capability today.
I would like to see feedback here while no one else has even mentioned these, while the team is already in the process of Bug Fix, so at least it is a possibility on the table either this time, or next.

From a software engineering viewpoint.
You have several levels of effort going on simultaneously.
Changes that effect art work. Changes that effect client code. Changes that effect server code. Changes that can be implemented with database changes only.
Each has different requirements. They each have different resources for code/art as well as QA/testing.
What you are seeing is when the right resource is not available at the right time to hit the release date of an item. So minor issues slip.
What you DO NOT DO is keep throwing tiny fixes out. That destabilizes the code base and nobody is sure what is in what state.
What you MUST DO is make a list for the next X level release (e.g. WB 1.1, Hotfix Echo). Everything that might be on that list has to have somebody sign off on it. If it isn't signed off than it MUST be dropped from the release. Regardless of the reason.
The next Hotfix/patch will collect the little items that were almost done, or only started after someone finished their work for WB1.1 and was hands on when the release went hot.
What you are seeing is normal for software, which oddly enough is all a video game is. Well that and ton of artwork.
Also you are seeing a small team deliver goods that the previous larger team didn't.
What we are seeing is you QQ about not getting what you wanted and demanding that the world adjust to your liking.
Well, it won't. So join the club and wait for the next Hotfix.
My favorite tank is a Lightning. Just sayin.
