Start with Militia and work your way up. (I suggest using STD suits up until PRO NKs.) It'll teach you a lot.

Yea, I'm most likely stopping knives except on my Sniper Stalker suits. I use purely militia knives, with 1 or 2 Krin's dmg mods.
I just need help with sniping, I've lost my touch, haven't done it in a while lol.
I'm respeccing Monday, so I'm skilling right into scouts and sniper rifles, and maybe smg or Ions.

I've got one point into sniper rifles just so i could fit my convenant & pair it with a breach smg. Seems strange that you would neglect mid range for knives. Militia ones at that, those don't OHK everything.

Rustier than I thought... Day 1

It was not a good night, my skills have dwindled far more than I at first expected.
It was a regular Skirmish, pulled out my Sniper Hunter fit first, a simple GalScanner Sniper with NK. Saw none so, I go back to the depot and switch to my triple damaged mod Caldari Militia Sniper.

Got a good 3 headshots and 5 kill assists, but as I started getting compromised, I kept dying more and more, switching from Nova's to Ions to try and defend myself but it didn't seem to work. Ended up going 3/10 with 5 assists. I was pissed. We still won, I still got my key, but my pride was shot in two.



The next match was worse, lost atleast 6 of my Federation Sniper Scout suits and had to pull out a State Procramumbojumbo Aurum Caldari Sniper bum. Only ended up with 1 kill, I refuse to post the deaths because It's shameful. I have never been this bad, even when I tried to show of to Dreis and go Minja and ended up going 5/13, only because I switched to Sentinel.

I see I may have to step up my game. I am going to have to buckle down.


I can't even 360noscope in Call of ****: Black Stool 2, only played that piece of cur crap because I am babysitting my friends kid and he brought it and demanded to play. Ugh, that game is horrid. I have realized a few things in my returning to being a Sniper Scout.


1.) I excepted way too much going in. I thought with me being a sniper previously, it would be much easier to go back to doing what I did when i first started playing. I thought i could just pick it right on up. That is never the case. I still think like a sniper, knowing where all the perches are helps when sniper hunting. Helps me hide from snipers more, I had not been sniped before I started returning to my sniper ways. Previously, I would hide more, made sure my body was never facing the hills. always had cover to protect myself from snipers. When I started sniping again, that was not the case. I got sniped a **** ton, most perches don't have cover for you to hide behind, when you have hills to block you, part of your hitbox is still exposed for other snipers to hit. It only takes a sliver of hitbox to get sniped, because that bullet can hit it.


2.) I am a horrible sniper. A scary realization. I am just not as good as I was before. I can not go back to being a sniper, i just can't. It has a hard learning curve. I got a few headshots, one while the enemy was moving which usually would be child play to me. But I just can't get the kills i did before. I just can't.


So I have tweaked my goal. I am going to still return to being a bastard. I am an original bastard. Every game I have ever played, that had the scout class, I would pick that class. No matter the game. And this class of ours, is so different yet so similar through so many different games. All require stealth, reconnaissance, and being a dirty bastard.


I am going to spec out of Amarr Sentinel, don't know when, soon hopefully, as soon as I get the money. I'm broke. But I am going to spec into Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Nova Knives, Gallente Scout and obviously the core scout skills. I am going back to my bastard ways. I will join a PC corp. I will prove that I can be a scary bastard.

I am not going to be the best. But I will strive to be ******* terrifying. SoonGäó o7

I'd give you tips on sniping but a lot of it has to do with muscle memory for lining up shots/follow-up ones. You probably have perch locations, situational, and map awareness down though having previously been a sniper. I only recently came back like two weeks ago. Since the 200m range nerf and the change to matchmaking, i've yet to have a 30+ kill game sniping. I've had a couple 23, 21, and 21 kill games these past few days. Depending on when it puts me in battle or the competition; the kill count will vary. Been sniping in offline games for 10+ years and online for about 3. Feel free to ask about anything if you need any advice. Good luck though if you wish to keep sniping.
