In the latest update, jump portals have been added to the Battle Academy and it got me thinking: How can we put this into games outside of the academy? The answer, Mobile Jump portals.
How They Work:
First of all it must be a vechole module that can only be fitted to LAVs. This way it gives LAVs a bigger role in the game other than drive by heavies, and JLAVs.
Secondly these portals will only have a 10-30 second window depending on the tier of modules (10 for basic, 20 for adv and 30 for proto). If the LAV is destroyed while the portal is open, the portal closes. The portal itself will be static and not move if the LAV moves. Moving the LAV will shut down the portal.
Finally, only infantry can move through the portal. This can be done by having the entrance in the MCC. To help people figured out which portal has which exit I recommend that a name or icon appear above the entrance of whoever made the portal.
I believe this will do three things: help alleviate the redline problem and make the game more dynamic and give dedicated LAV drives a job.
Thoughts? Concerns? Ideas? Cookies?
Edit: Forgot to mention the module should have a two minute cooldown.
I find your lack of heaviness... disturbing...

Also, why not have the lav just enter a 'lockdown' where it cant move, while its deploying the "cyno?" field.
They are only rough estimates for time and I thought they would be too long, what time frame would you recommend?
Also the only problem I have with lockdown is that the LAV becomes too vulnerable to AV and HAVs. Maybe while the module is active they can't move and would have to deactive the cyno module to move.

My dream, you crushed it.
