Grenades are kinda unbalanced. I will break up all three types and explain them and give suggestions to improve them.
Locus grenades.
In real life grenades are extremely lethal. They are also in dust, but not as lethal as they should be.
The core locus grenade is perfect how it is. It is a high damage grenade capable of taking out groups of targets very easily. I will use it to balance out the other 2 versions.
Standard.
The standard grenade is really not a good weapon. 300 damage is merely enough to kill a scout. If you pay attention to the killboard, you will RARELY see any kills from these grenades. To improve it and make it closer to its older brother, the Core, I propose buffing it to 400 damage. 100 damage more. Keep ALL OTHER stats the same. 100 damage is now enough to kill weak logis and all scouts.
Advanced.
The m1 grenade currently does 400 damage. Enough to kill scouts and weakend targets. Buff it to 500 to compete with table scout. Being an advanced grenade, it should be noticeably better than the standard but not overwhelming the Core.
Pro. Core is perfect don't touch it.
Flux grenades.
Flux grenades are op tbh. They will wipe out ALL SHIELDS and make min scouts and caldari very easy to kill. Reduce their damage to
800 std. 1000 adv. 1200 pro. Keep the rest of their stats as they are. If still to strong, then 500 std, 750 adv, 1000 pro.
Anti vehicle grenades.
I really don't think 3 is necessary. I think 2 is fine. Then again, 3 isn't enough when you encounter that pro maddie. Id

lol those were the exact stats of the old grenades. CCP changed it so buying proto nades were more worth it (although they already were...).
Fluxes are fine. The increased damage + extra splash is a massive advantage for area denial and AV. AV grenades are perfect.

I agree, but I'm not sure I would buff the M1 or Locus quite so much. I'd probably start at +50 or +75 damage first rather than +100 as you have suggested. If for no other reason that we need to be extremely cautious, IMO, when we buff alpha damage things as there's an even finer line between balanced and OP that you're dancing along -- if that makes sense.
Otherwise, I agree wholeheartedly. |

My opinion:
AV grenades: Good Flux grenades: Good, blast radius could improve more with progression
Locus grenades: I would like to see these become like real grenades as well, but in a different way than you suggested: real grenades have a pretty long prep time due to all the safety measures. The pin has to be twisted out of a clip before it's pulled, and said clip has another clip on it which needs to be removed before the pin is twisted out. However, the blast radius is also devastating (larger than the range you can throw). It just about goes without saying as well how powerful the blast is. I would like to see how that works in Dust.
Some details can be ignored
