OP, CCP Rouge did tell us that our progression would transfer to Legion. He didn't go into details on exactly how that would happen though.

its obvious that players who stay on the playstation will get there accounts back though I Dont know if those same players who move over to PC will be getting there accounts back or not. Just genuine curiosity and I dont want to have to risk my ISK and all that other stuff :/

Well, either way if they save this game from dying a cold lonely death and put it on steam.. At least I can Play on my account and go pub stomping with my proto Heavy suit with 1600 Armour and 200 shields again

I believe this is the first time any CPM made such a statement, as well as CCP. For this, I want to thank you. Seriously, we have not been made aware of that fact and were wondering how that would work if such a transfer happened.
At the OP:
Here's hoping. The longer it takes for a transition to happen (regardless of system) the less likely our stuff will transfer. CCP would want to get new players and "come join the fun; there are people that have a hundred times your SP!" That is just my opinion though. Of course, the transfer IS contingent on Legion/DUST 514 (PS4)/Hello Kitty Island Adventure being called "the transition from DUST 514" otherwise CCP can just say "It is an entirely new game, so why would anything transfer?"
The absolute best case scenario ever would be PS4 and PC cross platform play.

Or, as someone else suggested, keep news about Legion in the dark so people aren't afraid to throw money at Dust.
At this point, Dust is just a funding campaign for Legion.

Well then I will have to wait for PC and connect an Xbone controller. PS4 is something I do not plan on getting unfortunately. And I can't justify getting it just for Dust. (Inb4 PS4 Exclusives brah!)

They might not have concrete plans to, but I would wager they have an inkling, but don't want to say as much for all the issues that would present.
On topic though, I would stick to the PS3 as long as I could, as I find PC gaming an overly large monetary and time investment (spent 8 to 16 hours getting just one game to work because it didn't supposedly work with my brand of processor, forget that noise). I would also hope that the process of porting a PC Legion to the PS4, providing its success on the PC, would enable me to eventually move to that platform.
I am however tempted to see if I can get it to work somehow on my system just so I can knife the PC Master Race.

After numerous searches, I had to download a user made file that was not endorsed by Bethesda.
I like the plug and play aspects of consoles. I don't ever have to look up system requirements, or need to upgrade every 2 or 3 years to play the latest games, or find out why a particular game or two won't work with what I have when other games had no problem.

Geez. Well, that is very strange for Fallout 3. I have got it to run on some pretty old PCs before.
Consoles are great for plug and play. I don't mind tinkering a bit if I need to update a driver or add a new stick of RAM. Upgrading every 2 - 3 years is a bit of an exaggeration though. If you want to run everything at 140 FPS on Ultra Crysis mode, sure. So long as I run 60 FPS on above medium settings I don't mind (most people won't mind, so I've found).

well, as long as it does not cause to much of a problem with the porting over I played WAY to many hours of Dust514 for me to have to start over from scratch
