Rendering 1080p games @60FPS isn't a problem actually.
It's a developer choice between graphics and frame rate.

They can very easily make the game look like, say, COD and have it run silky smooth.
Or they could make it look like (Insert very demanding game) and have it run at 30FPS.

No, you cannot expect 400$ worth of hardware to do the work of 1000$ worth of hardware.

It will be Hilmar's fault, but most likely Rouge or someone else will end up having to fall on their sword for it. That's just how it goes with this company. Why do you think Dust gets so many updates? That's all stuff we will see in Legion. I mean come on... it's not really a secret that Legion is not a new project, but just a Port of Dust with some fancier menu and better graphics. And Dust is throwing a profit now. But do you think it will stay on PS3 forever? Certainly not. But CCP probably likes money. I heard that's true for all companies. So they will make the switch to Legion sometimes, because Dust can't live on the PS3 forever. But the project has to continue if CCP wants to get money out of it. What we're currently playing is just the Beta of Legion. CCP wouldn't throw so much money into a project like Dust if they know that they'll just have to abandon it in the next 1 or 2 years because of the PS3 becoming obsolete due to dying hardware. PS4 while isn't a monster machine is still more than capable. RAM was the biggest thing CCP had to fight with, and the PS4 has 8GB of very fast RAM, used in graphics cards on PC's. The patch approval system appears to have been streamlined to the point where it takes a dev 3-7 days from submission to approval, rather than the old month long wait.
