After seeing Rattati's post on SKINs, it came to my mind, that a Blood Raider equipment could be quite nice:
Blood Raider Repair Tool: GåÆ 'sucks' HP from friendly mercs nearby in general (AOE) or targeted (up to discussion) GåÆ adds HP to your suit GåÆ undecided if meant for equipment or weapon slot GåÆ undecided yet, if it generates WPs or not (maybe better not)
GåÆ extremely rare 'boxed' item (Strongbox item only, AURUM purchase pusher?) GåÆ damn this has to be rare! Or obtainable via PC only (exclusive fun items) GåÆ I do not play PC, so no lobbying intended here. But differentiating and elevating PC endgame over pubs makes sense to me...rare raid drop philosophy-wise
What's your thoughts on it? Any other ideas on tools to add to the game? Please share...
[ I know, this is not, definitely NOT a group play beneficial tool, and it is not meant as such. Instead it is what it looks like: parasitic and most of all...fun. ] |

I really hate to be like this, but please, no, just stop with dumb posts where you make a knee-jerk reaction to a 'race'/'culture' based on perceived (not actual) knowledge about them.
Blood raiders are not vampires. The Sani Sabik 'cult' is a very, very old offshoot of the Amarr faith and has been going through a massive religious war over what largely amounts to a doctrinal dispute, they also believe blood is holy and use it in their rituals - the purer the blood the more holy it is... and clones have the most holy blood.
Blood Raider ships are designed to immobilize enemy ships (with nasty stasis webifier bonuses) then turn off their capacitors with energy neutralizers and bonuses, in addition to these bonuses they also get huge bonuses to laser damage allowing them to fight like they have 8 guns when they may only have four. What they typically due to enemy ships is immobilize them, turn off their capacitors then send raiding/boarding parties to capture all the crew (especially clones) which are then harvested/murdered for their blood in holy rites.
As said before, Sani Sabik are not 'vampires', they are (at their most extreme) a violent militaristic and zealous faith.

I like reading your posts, you have a pretty good knowledge on the history and lore of new eden.

Furthermore, as stated before, it is intended as a fun tool discussion, and you trying to smartass things to death is the exact opposite of fun and you maybe should learn to take things a bit less serious sometimes. And even better: add another idea for tools, preferably fun ones. |

Then you know NOS modules (correct name? y'know, the ones that 'suck' capacitor energy from other ships to add it to the user cap's pool, but what do I know), and the tool I posted can be seen as an offshoot, since shield hp is powered by energy (fo' realz?), and if DUST blood raider 'rep-suckers' feed off that, why not? This is Bloodraider technology we are talking here, not SaniSabik history or myth. Instead of shield energy, one could even think of sprint-cap sucker-tools instead, if you want to have things as close to EVE rules as possible. Whatever. Furthermore, as stated before, it is intended as a fun tool discussion, and you trying to smartass things to death for cheap like farming is the exact opposite of fun and you maybe should learn to take things a bit less serious sometimes. I think the fundamental point he is trying to make is that literally draining hit points from an enemy is not the way of the Blood Raiders, instead Mina is reinforcing their role as Raiders which is exactly what they are.
Raiders are more or less the extreme extension and perversion of the Amarrian battle doctrine of draining their enemy's will to fight. That being said they say the Sani Sabik are forerunners in medical technologies rather than I suppose engineering as would require of this weapon.
It's been asked for often for an Amarrian grenade and often times presented as either a stamina drain or a flash bang. Perhaps if you wanted some Blood Raider Tech it could be justified as a modified variation of the existing Imperial Grenades that inflict stamina damage in addition to disorientation as the breaching weapons typical of Blood Raider boarding parties.

I very much appreciate your effort to calm the discussion, True. The idea of the stamina-stun-grenade is well known to me and I hope it will see some form of implementation. The cap-sucker I described did not necessarily need to drain armor, as shield draining is better justifiable due to it being directly energy-powered. Sprint-Cap/Stamina drain would have been a way too, but looked too boring as a fun tool. And Iam talking fun tools here. I never intended them to make their way into the game exactly as I descibed above, which is why I ask people to contribute their ideas, the more the merrier. My gripes is with people trying to aggressively kill off threads and discussions right from the beginning, this is no healthy way to communicate. This forum is not a place to compete, but to exchange and share ideas. |

It is a result, in this case I suppose, of passionate individuals wanting to preserve sparse bits of lore that Dust actually contains to some degree of authenticity. It's a double edged sword looking back in hind sight, prevents any real progress and only serves to get players who don't care to be pissed off with those who do.
In regards to the underlined section....you are young you do not know the shadowy dealings of the forum warriors as we plot and scheme to gain possession of and power over your souls.
But I have said enough.......
