Vehicle skins are to be expected, weapon skills would be cool, but unlikely.
Some details can be ignored

One step at a time; once we figure out any issues with the current skins I can see the system easily expanding to vehicles while we go back and re author the older ones to be complaint.
Weapons are likely to be trickier but due to high demand for it CCP already knows it has been desired. Who knows what else we can make happen if we do weapons for skins but overall its going to take much more work than vehicle skins.

I think we should hold off on vehicle skins until we have models for all racial vehicles (almost certainly not possible on the PS3). Since skins would be the only way (short of the tactical info box) of identifying the type of vehicle you're fighting, it would only make things more difficult.
Best PvE idea ever!

CPM involvement goes above just pointing out views of players though this is why the NDA is particular to that case when applicable.
CPM work with skins was of course lightweight and super dependent on the team in Shanghai that coded the system and authors the skins; CPM was very useful in speeding the process of ensuring the skins match closely to the sources and naming conventions are not lost upon usage; it was part of one of our more heavier involvements in Warlords 1.1 was providing feedback; questioning decisions; and making sure that past customers retain fair value for things they bought already.
Yes I know we (community) are not devs but that doesn't stop you from voicing your opinion, breaking crunching numbers, darth making this is dust videos, and all of us being able to say "See this? I helped make this! what it is."
CCP asks us not to do anything of the sorts but we do it because we love the game for what it is and want to make it better for tomorrow.

We do have models for the racial vehicles. They are known as Caldari/Minmatar & Gallente/Amarr tank models.
On a more serious note, since models for the tanks are not unique this seems like it would present a problem in visually identifying targets if/when skins for vehicles are added.

Go off topic much?
Also, so I'm right then.... You're at most middle men between the 'community' and CCP
If you mattered one bit you'd be on the payroll xx
