Okay CCP, you've had your chance to sell your strongbox keys for novelty items, but there are still many Quafe BPO weapons that people want. Please sell the Quafe BPO weapons for AUR.
This could be an opportune time to earn a little bit more cash prior to peer trading.
With liberty and justice for all,

Why? From a business standpoint CCP shouldn't take 'Quafe' weapons out of strongboxes. Keeping these weapons rare keeps demand high and strongbox keys in demand.

The state they are already currently in is about to turn into a gold mine for CCP.
People will be buying up strongbox keys left and right hoping to hit the lottery for one that they can sell for 10s of millions of ISK.
Personally I would like to see them placed on the market as well. The RNG on strong boxes is an absolute joke and making it so that we can get a guaranteed "rare item" for 6000 AUR is not going to fix that.
The way there work is fun if you are not one of the people like myself that has been 100% dumped on by a poor excuse for RNG programming. Now that there is not any clarification on what constitutes a rare item I suppose I will have to continue my strike against keys after the 100s of times I was ripped off by them. |

I'd spend thoroughly more than I spend on keys on being able to choose the Quafe weapon BPO I want.

I really only want a quafe bpo hmg/forge so I can run a totally isk free Gentinel And try new and absurd ways to do things. Or maybe a quafe MD. Yeah I'd pay for those.

No - they cannot keep releasing previously exclusive items for sale individually - rarity is the only good thing about Quafe wewpons! |

True, but Clone D is also right, this is a chance for them to make some money, maybe if they only release a certain amount of them weekly at high price, people would buy them, but on the other hand you would want the game to turn "Pay to Win".

Actually this was a question for Rattati on tonight's episode of Biomassed. He basically said that he wants to keep them as a rare drop for something players can look forward to trying to get, rather than simply buying them outright. It's more in the spirit of classic games like Diablo or WoW where its a random novelty drop, rather than something people throw money at for instant gratification.

Fair enough. Market forces should drive the price of these sky high once BPO trading is introduced.

I find it odd how so many players still consider Dust 514 to be sacred, as though it exists in some fragile form of perfection and the slightest misstep might shatter it.
And then there are the Rattati worshipers, touting that he is King Midas himself, not admitting that as he has augmented the game, some players left due to frustration while new players joined because the new context appealed to them.
The truth is that this game was never big. It is on its last leg, on a dying technology, and it will never be big. So, why can't we just open her legs up and just have some fun, eh? Whether or not Quafe weapon BPOs are scarce is not going to be some huge game changer for the popularity of the game and bring it back to life.
What happened when jumps were added? This addition caused significant friction and some people left and some returned, but many of those who remained said that this additional degree of freedom was fun.
Why can't we just have fun now? Why does the economy of Quafe weapon BPO have to be so strict? In reality, the only thing scarcity is preventing is the players enjoyment of using something they have been craving. |

Because there can be other weapon patterns made available for aur, not just quafe patterns.
I mean the quafe assault rifle isn't likely to sell for as much as some of the others. Because a lot of us have 3-5 exile rifle bpo copies waiting for sale.
I have about 5 toxin SMGs, templar sscram pistol ( not trading that) and other weapons like dren and covenant weapons.
Quafe isn't likely to be the only variants we will see in the future.

I lean more towards let ccp sell the bpos to make a good chunk of cash. I know I would invest more if I could buy a bpo that I can later sell or trade to get another bpo not on aur market.
