Would you buy a specialist dropsuit, considering the same requirements as weapons and equipments (dropsuit lvl 5)? If yes, how would be a good improvement from the default proto suit you already use? Maybe more base hp or speed? |

Yes and no.. a midterm between the proto and the officer, maybe a "tiny" base improvment in a stat or a change in the module layout.. Anything that shows that when a merc achieves the lvl 5 of some dropsuit skill, the faction still have something "better" then what is possible to buy with the ISK (but still worse than the Officer Suits..) |

If they're available as solely ISK items, then there will be no need for proto gear.
If it is available in their respective faction store, as LP, then there will be a greater need to do FW. Just as long these suits cost a hefty amount of LP.

Specialist... I don't like the way it is used in Dust.
To be a specialist, you give up certain things to gain something that would be beneficial to you.
Such as the Roden Sniper Rifle being the damage specialist sniper rifle. It loses its ammo capacity in order to do more damage per round.
When it comes to suits, we have two specialists. The lights and the heavies. Mediums don't count since they are in the medium, meaning they don't specialise in anything. The lights lose eHP for speed and profile while the heavy is the opposite.
If you want another specialist suit, you're probably talking about the TYPE-II suits. The one I recall off the bat was the Caldari medium that had more innate shields, but less innate armor. Meaning, it was the shield tanking specialist out of the Mediums at the time. |

Would be like it's now with the other Faction Suits, ISK + LP (or even solely LP)

As long as 5/6 (83%) of infantry AV weapons are Anti Armor based you're never going to achieve vehicle balance CCP
