Where almost every other mission in dust can happen as a result of trying to do normal gameplay (or simply just paying more attention to doing a specific thing), the 'kill assists on turret' mission is something you have to go well out of your way to do... and then to complicate matters you have to not only 'do' something specific (be in a vehicle or man a turret & shoot at people), you have to actively NOT do what would be a normal result of these actions (intentionally not kill enemies and instead allow allies to finish them). Whenever I see these pop up on my roster, even as a vehicle user I go "welp, that's a mission I'm not getting done today", or when they pop up in the middle of otherwise enticing 'complete x daily missions' they really complicate things. I just spent a few hours trying to get one done on an alt, and due to being in the higher tier bracket proto av is called out as a response to even mlt vehicles. I hate this mission. Vet's cant do it, Noobs cant do it. The actions required to perform it require actively working against 'normal' gameplay. Here's a flowchart for logical exchange of information You're trying to circumvent my position that the mission is poorly designed by simply going "buy new missions" or "it can be done though". Infantry kill assists happen easily and organically, all maps are considerably more open to infantry than they are to vehicles as well. They're something that you can accomplish just by paying a bit of attention if anything. Kill assists with a turret take a few extra steps and then unlike the regular infantry missions which also include kills, require you to not finish the action that you've stepped out of your way to do. It's not hard to rack up a huge number of normal kill assists in a match, it can be incredibly difficult to rack up a huge number of kill assists specifically from turrets.
