What's the big deal? An industry standard game glitch where the player drops below the bottom of the map/mesh. The main difference is he is not in a tank and thus did not immediately explode. Also the default even for infantry used to be constant falling and then death.
Go to the map feed back section and post where the player was when he dropped. Also, let them know what the toon was doing at the time.
e.g. Inside Pyramid, in a HAV, hit D-Pad down to access map. Insta-death presented as falling through the map.
Same was true on the satellite launching facility. I haven't tested either in many moons.
My favorite tank is a Lightning. Just sayin.

Who said this was a complaint or an attempt at glitch reporting?

No, it's the Maken Tosch's bad internet and aging PS3 causes hangups map. Nobody with a healthy PS3 and a decent connection gets lag there.
