Look at the 1.1 patchnotes. CCP is implementing meta lvls to your overall fittings, this is beeing done as preperation to a later patch/hotfix. Basically they introduce meta lvls to fits and later on more then likely the meta lockouts. In my opinion i would prefer meta lockouts over the current matchmaking.

Both sounds way better. Giving the option to evryone To play fairly or go all out but Suddenly you'll get people complaining that they can't pubstomp anymore.

Oow, so I enter the game in a mil suit so I can get thrown in a low tier game then swap to a protostomp suit once in. You'd hope CCP would think of a way to prevent this, but then we wouldn't be at this point now if they could think about how things would get screwed up having tiered suits.

well, I believe ratman said at one point that it would take into account the meta-levels of your suits, in addition to your elo
