I propose the devs spend 2 hours a day playing Dust as a normal player.
They must:
- Alternate between playing solo, playing 3-man squads and playing 6-man squads depending on the day.
- Play only public matches, whatever game mode scotty sticks you in.
- Spend an even amount of time between the regional servers (America for a week, then Europe for a week, etc)
What i expect would happen in many matches with the current matchmaking system:
- They will see people with a seemingly endless supply of proto gear.
- They will have to make a choice; Win the match, or make some isk.
- They will have dailies that require more than 2-3 hours to complete (win 10 matches, for example)
- When joining a match late, they will end up being added to the team that is already winning.
- They will find AV to be overpowered against some vehicles and unable to even dent others.
- Their blueberry allies will be anywhere and everywhere (except hacking the objectives or being within 100 metres of the inevitable full-proto squad)
- They will die many times to the current meta of heavily tanked commandos and amarr assaults, from charged shots, bolt pistols and core locus grenades.
- They will perhaps wonder why light suits and heavy suits cost the same amount, when expected survivability, lethality and therefore KDR are very different between the two.
What other stuff do you guys think would happen?

Rattati actually played Dust long before he worked directly on it.
He even recently (within the past few months) stated he had played AV to get an idea of what was going on with it.
Not to mention how he was in playing with the new players, and found people who were creating alts just to farm the academy and noobs.
The Devs have a life, and I think they do a good job playing and understanding their product.

I understand that a bunch of the devs do already play dust, but this is more of asking ALL of them (who have the power to make decisions) to try dust through more perspectives than they may have already tried.
For example, pub matches are decent enough for squads (with the exception of the recent matchmaking and/or people quitting teams), but for solo players it's crappy 4 out of 5 matches.
Also, if they do this regularly, they might see how annoying it is that some people can proto all day when others can't even run advanced suits consistently.
Really, i just want them to get, as a whole, a little wider perspective. I love Dust, but honestly i can't recommend it when it's got this many issues for newer or casual players. |

I'm just excited to get out of the current matchmaking. I'm a dedicated Logi so my K/D is .54 which means my matches are now gonna be against a bunch of 'meh' players. My W/L is a .8 because all the people I play with are slayers which sticks us in matches with slayers and I'm that scrub non-slayer Logi. Now I can VC with them but run my Shotgun Gassault on scrubs =D

Nope, your WP/D should also be a factor, so you should be playing good players also.
