Every other game I play is fine. Except dust.
I'll log onto dust and play a match, then after, while my squad is searching for battle, my PS3 will freeze. No response, no beeping noise, just a frozen screen.
I thought it was because of the amount of players online at the time, but today I logged on right after downtime, only to freeze after a quick ambush.
What is causing it??

When was the last time you completely uninstalled Dust, then re-installed it?

OP:
1. Remove all mail in game. 2. Remove all contacts in game (MMO, haha). 3. Remove all channels you don't use.
Optional: 4. Defrag file system via PS3 service menu. 5. Wait for CCP (Can't Complete Productions) to unf*ck some parts of their design (next week) and maybe remove memory-leak ridden sockets from the game. Because removing something from PC means the ack'd the problem, but somehow pubbies should eat sh*t. (Not holding my breath for that second one.)
Oh, obligatory INBF4: BLAME PS3, BLAME SONY.
I liked this game.

Few steps for U: 1) Reinstall Dust, 2) Change system language to english 3) Remove most chats, leave few most important, 4) Delete messages
Go to youtube and check how to turn PS3 in special "hoover" mode.
If nothing helps log in on your router and setup port forwarding for ps3 (google it)

Memory leaks. Want to counter some of dust problems? get a solid state hard drive and so many of them disappear.

I've already tried restoring database, re-installing dust right now.

Something on your end. I haven't had a hard freeze from Dust since closed beta.
Some details can be ignored

Also I'm on a 7200RPM drive, doesn't help much with popin and model LOD shift lag.
I liked this game.

Also I'm on a 7200RPM drive, doesn't help much with popin and model LOD shift lag. No numbers on hand, sorry. I can compare it to my squadmate's loading times. After I uninstall/reinstall Dust 514 I can load into a match and be running towards the objective 5 - 10 seconds before the rest of my team (unless they have a SSD). After a few weeks of playing that 5 - 10 second head start disappears.

I recommend formatting your system if you're a PSPlus member or can backup your save data. Defragging and that have stopped me having fatal errors entirely.
An SSD may help also. Fresh install Dust every 4 months if possible.
