With news of Warlords1.1 coming out in a week, I was looking through the patch notes and noticed the "improving performance" part and I had a thought; if I'm correct, which I'm sure my thought is flawed on this, was there not a discussion thread talking about how the game has to account for each person's individual load-out some time ago, and that having less might contribute to better performance?
If this isn't the case, either way, might how the game handles the final numbers be changed affect how the game runs? Again, I'm probably wrong, but if the game has to figure out each person's load-out in real-time, that could be eating up a lot of memory.
(Again speculation) if the game only had to work with numbers that didn't for the most part change, could that maybe open up more memory? for example; I'll assume that, like before the game handles load-outs in real time, meaning in my mind that if in the middle of battle I think I should make a load-out to deal with x situation" and do so, the game is figuring that new load out, as well as any that are already there.
Is there a way to make the system "hard code" the numbers? By this I mean, when I go into a battle all my fitting are locked and are unable to be changed. And because of this the game generates a solid set of numbers that are remembered and used. Instead of potentially fluctuating numbers in the instance that someone decides to modify a load-out. I think this might relieve some stress (if this even makes sense)
I thought about this because of the way the skill tree operates; you can't upgrade skills in battle. Unless something changed.

I've talked with a couple people and the CPM about this, and we've described it as the Deck of Cards idea:
You can mkae X number of dropsuit and vehicle fittings. This is your pool. However, you can only bring in Y number of fittings to the battle. That would be a Deck. You can make as many decks as you please for any number of combos you so desire, but you can only bring in 1 deck with you into the battle.
It makes sense to me, and it would kinda function like the way EVE does where you can't simply bring all your ships with you to fight with, usually only 1. It's quite a neat idea imo. Might even end up saving us some memory along the way too. Especially if we can't edit said fittings in the match.
