Price of 43,000 AUR in DUST, 20 bucks. EVE is ridiculous.

All I can say is that if a Quafe BPO cost me $10, the price of a Generic BPO + Quafe Skin better equal ~$10.

If skins end up being more than $5, this whole thing will not sell well.

Slightly tangent to the discussion, but I want to add that an eventual introduction of social spaces will have a big effect on the value of visual customization for players.

Right now we have: battles, and the occasional battle-waiting-room of the Warbarge.

There is value in looking cool in those places...
But the more places we get, the more usability we get from SKINs.

Gimmie the Event Horizon Lounge and honesty for me SKINs will double in value!

The only reason I'm interested in the SKINs is to look cool in battle, that's the only place that matters to me.

 it is more expensive, $1 = 150 EVE AUR, $1 = 2,000 DUST AUR

but that's not really relevant since they can't transfer between the two games, don't buy the same things, and the aur markets are scaled differently

Its not like we can buy a $20 40,000 dust aur pack and get every single skin in eve online while laughing at the poor capsuleers

Well not directly but I'm sure there's some upstanding individuals that would happily convert some Dust Aur into Eve Aur in the roundabout way that they do. Better watch out Capsuleers, we're going to flay you for your SKIN

 Scaling..

1 dust aur does not = 1 Eve Aur.

They used to be more in line in beta days , then they added some more zeroes. ( can't remember why , but it sounded stupid )

They would not allow dust aur to make it to eve side , even if they have the same name..don't think that's gonna happen. Unless they reduced dust aur back in line with Eve aur and changed the prices of everything to what it would then be. They can't do scale Aur up in Eve , the backlash would be too much , but they can easily bring dust down and make adjustments to price and then Aur can go between both worlds again...however, your AUR would become very very very fkn expensive in isk terms lol

It seems like AUR is much bigger in Dust for the multitude of granular AUR charges we have in Dust, down from 3 AUR on up. Either we scale down Dust AUR and have fractional values for DUST items, or scale up EVE AUR values in a proportional amount to 'old' EVE AUR values.

Though, EVE does have a 70 dollar monocle...
