How about you guys actually finish and polish matchmaking in anyway...
Instead of adding a feature that in no way can be done to any quality standards that anybody employed in the gaming industry could look on with any sense of accomplishment.
CS:GO has a proper matchmaking and ranking system for games...
it is clear... The average User can grasp and understand it... And there is UI functions in the game that help them understand the rankings, With clear advantages to gettign to a higher ranking with game developed elements that motivate a user to climb the rankings...
DUST's loyalty rankings barely display intuitive information and use to the average user that explains how it even works without sifting through forums...
You can't just implement a feature based on numbers that are quoted and claimed on forums and say matchmaking is now working we are done and moving on to recoloring tanks and adding different variables into the figures and calling them Amarr and Minmatar tanks.
The sheer lack of professionalism is just astonishing.. When I ask a building Contractor if I can put an Olympic size swimming pool in my basement, I don't expect him to just do it because I want it.. Or to build me a kiddie pool and say that is the best he could do but I wanted it So at least he did something.. And when a professional Contractor does the job, it is expected to be on a professional level... Industry quality standards.
Don't do this to your Game development Studio.... Don't tie this level of quality and standards to CCP Shanghai.... While a crucial feature such as Matchmaking remains unpolished, un marketed, unintuitive, uninformative matchmaking process that looks and feels no different then it has since inception.... ...
If you aren't proud of it, don't serve it. |
