You're probably going to own some sort of PC anyways, why not pay a bit more on top to make it a gaming machine? That alone makes it cheaper than a console.

Not to mention all the shady hackers that come with the pitfalls on the FPS/PC Platform. Any real FPS won't touch the PC for this very reason. It's not respectable gaming.
