How would the community feel about it if you could change the fitting on the Apex suits. This however comes with a twist. You are only allowed to use other BPO modules on it and since other BPO modules are aswell either standard/militia grade modules you dont really gain more power. Additionally CCP could introduce STD BPO's to the LP stores. For example you could get the "Republic Heavy Machine Gun BPO" and Put it on the "Caldari State sentinel shogun".
It would make buying/earning STD/militia BPO's more appealing. Which means more money for CCP and more costumisation for the players. Or for example you could change out the kincat on the amarr opus assault for a militia armor rep. That way you get a bit more armor regen at the cost of mobility.
And while we are at it allow us to rename and put them as favourite. Annoys the hell out of me if i have to search the FW apex suit from my properly ordered fittings.

Seems like a great idea, if you could buy the suits for ISK and NOT AUR. If you do it for ISK, then you can do the upgrades for AUR so they can remain monetized; seems like a fair tradeoff so a person is not paying real world cash twice for a digital item. Plus, it would balance them as everyone with a little work can get them in normal play instead of trying to get them through the failed FW system. |

Rattati already said a good few months ago now, that he had an idea to allow us to customise APEX suits within very strict PG / CPU limits.
Basically the absolute minimum PG / CPU needed for a totally 1 day old noob to use said APEX suit, that limit would be our playground. (Of course we have fitting skills, we can change mods etc...) I liked Rattati's idea a lot to be honest.
I'm just surprised we have not heard anything else on APEX suit customisation since.

In which case they should also allow us to buy an 'unfitted' apex frame bpo (which you can only fit bpo's to) for less LP/AUR |

They basically already said no, because of the HP stacking potential with all the slots. I'm pretty sure most players would love this though. It was asked for many times when they were released.

This is preferable to all other ideas regarding APEX customization.
Although, I'd say they would be more valuable/desirable than the original APEX suits, and thus would/should cost more, even though some players would have to spend more to get the BPOs to place on it, most players already have the BPOs needed for the customization.

They've been constantly pestered about this too, and it is on the bug list.
true dat.
apex dominus sentinel with 4 militia plates and militia extender would give approx. 1120 armor and approx. 480 shield, that's 1600 ehp, that's equivalent to a advanced ammar sentinel with advanced plates and extender

https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2654413#post2654413 <------ One of the MANY threads posted on this. Honestly at this point, it is a lack of effort entirely on CCP's part. Don't hold your breathe on the APEX being fixed or worked on.
