What the hell is up with tanks sneaking up behind ppl without showing up on tacnet. My scout with 25 precision didn't see a tank until I walked backwords into it and turned around wondering what I hit. |

Tanks were nerfed so that no matter your scan precision or range they show up on passive scans at 50m a long time ago. This was demanded by infantry complaining that tanks could 'sneak up on them'.
The situation you are describing is factually impossible.

No, the situation he is describing is reality. If tanks are always supposed to show up on the tacnet within 50m, then passive scans are not working as intended. |

Even some drops suits, according to another thread, aren't showing up when they should.

It just happened to me 2 games ago. But maybe like the post above me said, it might not be an issue with tanks themselves but a bug with passive scans. |

Even if you don't see a square on the tacnet, you can easily hear a tank loudly enough to determine its location and distance, even if it's immobile. Regardless, tanks do not always register on passives within 50m. |

I often play with the sounds off or very low due to my newborn sleeping nearby. So that explains the lack of not hearing it. |

How about you use your ears? Tanks make alot of noise when moving and even when standing still. Most of the times its easy to avoid a tank cause you can hear it from 100m distance allready. Dont just allways trust your eyes you should aswell use your hearing capabilitys. Allmost everything makes a sound. Be it a logi that used his active scanner, a dude placing down a nanohive/uplink and even the grenade sound from a enemy can be heard. Sadly footsteps are insanely hard to notice but sometimes when its really quiet you can hear the footsteps from scouts.

The situation you are describing is factually impossible. They don't show up on the tacnet immediately, you have to be looking at them.

Why do people like to make up excuses for bugs. I swear you can come to this forum and say my gun doesn't fire and people will reply telling you to melee or use your side arm. |

Not surprised this is still happening.
Had one run me over a very long time ago. There was no audible or tacnet notification of its existence until after I had already been run over.
Also was wearing a scout suit. Back before the range nerf. There was zero reason it should have happened.

Tanks are OP! Nerf that ninja **** now! My swarmer can't solo kill tanks if I can't even pick them up on tacnet!they're soooo small and blend too well.

People can't be "aware of their surroundings" when the tools they use to do that DON'T WORK. Jackass. How about you use your brain. |
