There are a plenty of way to avoid exploiting of the new trading feature, but CCP has decided to use the moneygrabber method, which is also the most exploitable.
The plan: Pay to Exploit
New mail and PSN account Create alt and get some free stuff (and a new recruit:optional) Buy AUR Buy Boosters Get level 4 Play for 100k WP (for more BPOs:optional) Wait a month or two until booster & BPO will be tradeable. (only first iteration) Pass to main your stuff Profit
As you can see you will likely be able to create alts and raise your level fast, obtain bonus stuff and also recruiter stuff if you are particulary tryhard, while keep all the useful stuff for your main. Not bad though?
The Counter #1: Combined threshold WP-SP-Isk, set a reasonable threshold of these 3 indicators, all 3 of them takes time to raise. 200k, 2-3 millions, 20 million, this will make sure that the player is legit, or at least that the booster is really trying hard. At the same time legit alts will be able to trade.
The Counter #2: Death Mark Mark certain items as untradable. New player active booster? Just rename it or make it slightly different from normal boosters and mark it. Warbarge components? Mark them. Keys? Keys are actually gained via playthrough, i don't see any problem in trading them Newsletter stuff? As far as i know you can't redeem old stuff with new subs. But from now on you can mark valuable stuff (boosters, officer stuff) as untradable.
The Counter #3: Time Just set an amount of days before trading can be activated
The mehhhh Counter: Warbarge Subsystem Unlock trading with lvl.6 warbarge subsystem. Exploitable, but it would require far more aur than level 4 loyalty, it would be interesting to see how many players would pay astronomic amounts of aur in component to unlock trading so fast, it also doesn't let the booster nothing in his hand, except an upgraded warbarge.
As you can see there are a plenty of methods. If you want to sell me something, please give out a lot (and when i say a lot, i mean a whole lot) of SKINs. Make them cost like 99 cents, pay some kids to color a few everyday and grab my money.

If you make an alt now you are ineligible to claim old Newsletter stuff.
This would only be viable for old alts..... All they would gain is a few extra newsletter boosters/officer weapons, if they're prepared to pay 20USD per alt for that I don't care.
I dont spend a penny on dying people (charity) so why would I spend a penny on a dying game? The mugs can give CCP money for a few extra crap. |

I don't know, all these methods of stopping people from exploiting simple trading that I've seen so far seem to only delay it while punishing non-exploiting players. That's just some straight up bullsh!t to me.
It's hard to believe I was once one of the biggest fanboys Dust had.

I much prefer Counter 1, though I think only WP should be used to decide if someone should be able to trade or not.

Counter 3 is easily exploitable, it just sets a delay before the alt farm kicks in.
Some details can be ignored

I doubt boosters will be tradeable cuz new characters get one after beggining missions same for warbarge components. Im sure bpos will be though n everything else like keys and other things. |

In every instance I see more time and effort being spent in trying to farm an alt than just playing.

SERIOUSLY, who cares? The game had a MAJOR farm exploit since the creation of alts. People made 100's of millions. It took over a year to nerf... If people want to give CCP their hard earned cash for play money, fine by me. It pays for the life support....... Im not ready for dust to take a dirt nap......

Regarding counter 2GǪ
Since newsletter stuff can only be redeemed if your alt is older than the newsletter I donGÇÖt see an issue in them being tradable. All the goods from the newsletters are BPCGÇÖs, they will run out eventually and nothing you do will get you more of them. So initially yes there will be a ton of officer stuff on sale but after a little while they are gone. This should not be an issue. You cannot GÇ£farmGÇ¥ them. So exclude these from the death list.
To farm keys you have to play the game and to farm them in great quantities you need to give up sleeping and life in general. Not an issue if traded, exclude from the list.
Warbarge components should be tradable even if they are given free. There are not going to be many farmers so the quantities will not be that great anyway. But I know CCP doesnGÇÖt want these to be traded as they think people pay for that crap. IGÇÖm sure some do though. Poor souls.
The only one I agree with is the starter booster. Re-name it and exclude it from trading. The ones that are out there now will eventually run out and the farming cannot continue. Again, initially there will be a lot of them on offer but eventually they are all used and things settle. They are only three day boosters anyway.
But, this level 4 nonsense is only there for CCP to force some players to pay or be without this feature. IGÇÖve said it on other threads as well that if CCP was only concerned about alt farming they would have set the level to 1 or 2. It takes a long time to gain just a few levels so it is effective against alt farming.

Two things need to happen ASAP.
1. A locking trade window
2. Integration to the EVE market.
Those are the absolute best defense against scamming. I'm kinda feeling that most of. The scammers who live for a well - executed con are going to be disappointed by an easy mechanical loophole.
