At the beginning of the event ive went and bought for 24k AUR 12X7 day faction warfare boosters (3 for each faction). Ive got 3 BPO suits so far (2 amarr and 1 minmatarr). The cost for 1 apex suit is 58k AUR. Since the fittings for FW and apex BPO's is the same i can say that i turned my original 24k AUR investment into 174k AUR (58k X 3= 174k). And im by far not done yet. I want to get at least 2 more FW BPO's and i have plenty of time till the event ends.
So yeah i can truly say i actually made a profit by playing the game. And when im done with BPO grinding i will get additional LP for the thingys that are about to be released.
I make the scrubs scream and the vets cry.

I planned to do this until I remembered that I'm Caldari and have a better chance of getting ebola than one of the APEX fits I crave in this event. Might have a go at getting an Amarr one though, as you have said, it is quite profitable.

Turning a profit means you put money in your pocket that wasn't there before. This did not happen.
All you did was spend less money, and more time.
Which is the smart thing to do. Just not the same as turning a profit.
