How screwed this game was going to be with the colossal failure and collapse of
CCP Shanghai's efforts a couple of years ago?
Such promise, then nothing. Nothing substantial except for a change to
'hotfixes' which are just number balancing.
Anyways -- I am still the fool. Staying here, thinking that new things will come.
Knowing its a dry run til game is discontinued on PS3, a dying, emaciated
cash cow for CCP wanting to wring as much money out of idiots
who don't know the history of CCP's attention and outright LIES
in regards to its development and crew. |

I take it you don't have a job yourself then. Yes ccp makes money of dust, so what ccp is a business and must male profit to continue what they do. They are adding new content and hotfixes all the time . How about you take your negitave feedback and **** off straight back to cod (which is all so a business).

I dunno about how much time I put in, I think it has more to do with how much I like the game, or want what the game could be. Or I guess what I was promised, and promptly not delivered

Game development with a small team is not a fast process. This is not (nor to my knowledge was it ever) a triple a team with hundreds of millions to throw at it and a 200-300 man dev team.
Rattati has also been prioritizing and putting a heavy emphasis on collecting and actually LISTENING to player feedback, which surprisingly has led to dust 514 being in one of the best states it has ever been in (though plenty of things still need work).

The fact you download it for free and the game has been going for years now, makes your point irrelevant.
Kinda like when you go shop for food, why not just get the cheap things, why go for taste? It costs more, but you still buy the things that you like over what you actually need. You know it's all going to turn into poop anyway.

Cod is fast pase and is a solo game.wear as dust your success depends on more than one man . Doesn't matter how good you are, 1 merc cannot take 16 head on . That's wear tactics and squads come in handy.
I'm not saying cod isn't good but if your not a team player, go find a diffident game

1) The CCP employees most responsible for screwing up DUST are no longer CCP employees.
2) The hotfixes have done a lot more to fix the game than all the Expansions since release prior to the Rattati era put together.
3) After the Rouge Wedding it was time to stop playing DUST for what it could be, and decide whether DUST was worth playing for what it is. (I decided for myself that what it is, was worth playing.)
4) DUST only became profitable after Rettati got it to a point where people decided it was worth spending money on. That money is what is allowing increased development on DUST, which a year ago we never expected to happen.
5) The fact that DUST is profitable means there is a business case to port DUST to a new environment. We don't have to count on CCP doing it just out of the kindness of their hart. They will do it because it makes business sense.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

That is a good point. With DUST 514 if you get involved you really feel like you are part of the development process. What other game allows the players to be so involved in the game balance and development?
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.
