finally got ahold of a planetside 2 key and so im going to be playing alot less dust now.

Do people still need keys? Have you played it on the PC? Its got nice large scale battles, but there are usually so many snipers on high points that it can be annoying to get anywhere.
Its ok, the battels that happen in it are what I think dust could have had, though PS2 only happens on one planet so its a lot easier to implement and keep people concentrated. And the rules of only being able to attack certain zones at a time also keeps things focused to certain points tho its kinda odd. You CAN sneak deep into enemy controlled territory, but cant DO anything to it because its not the current zone being disputed/attacked. |

I got mine a week or two after the first codes released.
It has some fun points, but its not so great that it doesn't get boring.
The game play and environment are much different.
Dust has enough unique qualities that other FPS games simply can't replicate.
Especially when PS2 has way more grinding to get gear than Dust does without paying cash.

Not really this way, it uses the Risiko rules to attack territories, which imo is a great design solution to "circle hacking": people would simply run all over the map taking territories and there would be less battles.
Anyway, it's a better game overall. It lacks the depth of Dust/Eve, the meta and a bit of customization, compared to Dust, but it feels much more immersive and "better" regarding core mechanics, balance, scale and gameplay. From what I heard of people playing PS2, they are not coming back to Dust nor they plan to. I myself would play lesser and lesser as soon as I get my beta key / ps4, since most of my clan mates are already there and others will be there soon.

its not even that good. Basing on my friend's time played of only six hours and he got the beta a month ago. Another one of my friend has only played it six times lol. And these where/are big time dust players not your average peasant.
AE. Ringing fee. 5m isk per battle.
