I used to lurk around the forums from time to time but I stopped around september. Has the game changed at all since then? Have they added new heavy weapons or made planetary conquest better? Can we trade with eve/dust players now? Is this game still a lobby shooter?

Seriously though, why not just hop in 2 or 3 games and decide for yourself?

I would have to set up my PS3 again. That would take a while because of how stupid the layout for this rooms is. I know that is my fault but I'm lazy  .

Myofibrils now affect jump height as well as melee.
There are new maps.
There is now Matchmaking as well as Team Building for Public Matches.
Assaults are now the meta, with HMG nerfs and many Scout nerfs reducing those numbers.
We now have a Player Warbarge. Each WB has units that affect players. The first is a unit that manufactures WB components so you can upgrade existing units and add new ones. A second unit manufactures ISK, a third affects Light/Heavy weapons (think minor damage mod). There are more, and I don't know them all.
PC is being fixed, and will include Raids in the future (being able to attack a District without wanting to hold it, or having to defend it. Think piracy).

If done correctly, it will be lots of fun.
There might be some adjustments that have to be made at first, but I think Rattati does a good job at putting something new in, and then making the necessary changes.

Just a heads up in case you're thinking of trying PC at some point: because of the way Rattati is setting up PC mechanics, you might want to log hook up that PS3 to upgrade your warbarge. It's designed in a fairly annoying money grubbing fashion: either log in every couple of days and press some buttons(for months/years) or fork over the $$$.
Upgraded warbarges will prolly generate clones, etc. and have bearing on the PC content.

The reality is that there won't be much. This is not me making things up. This is straight from CCP Rattati himself during the recent Fanfest 2015 round table he held. Simple Trading will start off with just ISK-only items where you just send the item to a player and hope they keep their promise of transferring you the ISK. The reason AUR is excluded for the initial implementation is to weed out any bugs that could be detrimental to anything AUR related. Once the bugs have been weeded out, the AUR items will then be safe to trade.
Just don't expect warbarge components to be traded for now.
