I have snipers in my Corp & this is for them! CCP please start thinking about the snipers. My snipers feel left out when new things come out. I told them that I would post it on the forums for them. They would like sniper rifle blue prints & load out suits. |

100% agree. The blueprints should be militia damage with a clip size of 1. Thank you. |

I'll care about snipers when they actively try to win matches instead of sit on hills 250meters away from an objective, end the match with 2 kills, zero deaths and 200 warpoints and think to themselves "Man I'm a badass!".
You don't want to play objectives? You don't deserve consideration. This is true for snipers, rooftop campers or tanks that hide in the red line.

Redline plinker =/= Sniper
And to imply that they do is to completely discredit yourself.
On the rare occasion that a good ACTUAL sniper ends a match with 5 kills or less, it's because A) They joined the match late B) They noticed their position wasn't going to see much action in that particular match/stage, had to trek back to a supply depot, and changed to a logi/support role.
The fact of the matter is, when you're a sniper, you can't FORCE targets to come to you. All you can do is find a position that gives you a good area to work with, while minimizing your exposure to enemy attack (from ANY range), and try to neutralize as many enemies and equipment as you can.
Any so-called "sniper" who wastes valuable time moving constantly and thus exposing his/herself, or positions him/herself in a place that leaves them unreasonably vulnerable, is just as ineffective as someone who sits in the redline the entire match, if not more so. |
