Except when you want to recall the vehicle, then they never want to leave.

When I park in front of an objective/CRU with my scanners running and the gunners don't feel the need to get out and hack the location...where the heck is the "eject" button?!

That's what I'm saying. I would love if CCP implemented this and then after they are booted from the vehicle, they can't enter it for 15 second like when the vehicle is first deployed. That would give you time to exit and initiate recall on the vehicle (its nice no-one can enter your vehicle while you are recalling it...)
Seriously, this has been a broken feature about vehicles since day one and it still hasn't been addressed.

The best AV weapon is the redberry that steals a tank... that's 2 combatants out of the fight for a while..
But yeah, eject, lock to squad, lock driver needed badly... and it's not like they don't have a few more spots on the command wheel.
