While I am aware that it is premature to promote candidates, I wanted to bring attention to a candidate I was really sad didn't get to be on CPM 1.
In this thread, I will hopefully convince you to vote for Aeon Amadi.
First, I would like to talk about his past goals, that he still holds to this day. (A dedicated man indeed!)
At every chance he got, he advocated for the creation of the ISD program.
The ISD program as some of you might know is a program from EVE, where volunteers work for CCP in various ways.
Whether it be forum moderation, game testing, spreading news, storyline, EVELopedia administration and of course, helping new players, the ISD's are a crucial part of EVE that CCP has employed for many years new.
DUST 514 and CCP Shanghai would benefit immeasurably from such a program!
Aeon has also advocated for API support, so that third party developers would be able to integrate their apps to work with EVE.
An API allows for the creation of skill planners, fitting tools, and so on and so forth.
EVE players have long been using API support for creation of many varied apps that are practically required if you're an EVE player.
As you can see, Aeon's goals are realistic, and well within CCP's abilities.
In this recording from FanFest, Aeon Amadi attempts to explain the above to CCP. As you can see, he can stand his ground for us, like a mighty Russian bear.
So who is Aeon?
He is a veteran of both EVE Online (Since 2005) and DUST 514 (Since 2012). He is well versed in the inside and out of both games, and adores both games to the point of having a Gallente tatto on his arm!
His latest work includes Myofibril stimulant testing, where he gave Rattati invaluable info, showing that the Myofibril stimulant math wasn't adding up to the intended values. The rifle recoil comparison video, where he stopped taking anecdotal evidence from everyone and just showed all four rifles firing together. And of course massive amounts of spreadsheets that, of many things, lead to the buff of the Burst AR (Thank you! :D).
He is also the owner of a mighty beard. Just like a mighty Russian bear.
He is also just as angry as a Russian bear. I hope I'm making it clear that Aeon can be scary with the usage of said similes.
So what is Aeon Amadi's purpose in joining the CPM?
Well, I got in contact with him to get answers, and answers indeed I got!
"I intend to be elected to CPM2 is to re-focus CCP's laser back on the PS3 so that it may slowly wither and die, such was the original plan and that is now more apt with the release of the PS4. My campaign platform involves returning to pre-Uprising design mentality by informing the community incredibly early on of design concepts that will never make it to finalization.
I strongly believe that the game needs to run slower for cinematic reasons - afterall, no-one can tell visible differences past 60fps, right? That and all movies are usually recorded at 24fps so I genuinely believe Dust 514 is better for it.
I feel we need to go back to common FPS mentality by completely removing modes and maps that people enjoy and bring back the familiarity of the early 2000's game design with small maps consisting of little to no cover and equally sketchy hit detection.
One last thing I want to add to my campaign list is furthering the pendulum momentum of discussion of features with the community in gross detail and then immediately backtracking to complete silence until major events such as Fanfest. This has worked very well in the past and I want to continue that momentum."
As you can see, Aeon Amadi truly is the voice of the community!
He is the perfect candidate, and I hope you all use the power given to you by democracy to vote for him!
On a side note, I would very much appreciate it if you voted for Judge, CEO Pyrex and King Thunderbolt, all equally great candidates!

lol, what a way to start it. ISD. Please, god, no. Last thing we need is to ruin the forums with nerds using batons on everyones thread. Trolls is probably the only reason activity continues so well despite the game being terrible, lol. In fact, the game being terrible probably feeds into the trolling and creates a troll environment in which we thrive upon.

I'm more alluding to the fact that DUST is now officially entrenched in mediocrity, with no hopes of every moving outside of that. So, it seems like wasted effort to champion a cause that their own company refuses to champion (making DUST more than mediocre)

since the cpm from fa ....... i dont ever trust any cpm..dust dont need cpms they need to look inward and find out what they want instead of waiting for ppl to make ideas and then have us pay for it. cpm always leads to abuse some how some way.

I would love an app similar to EVE Droid (wonderful 3rd party EVE app the uses API) on Dust. You could check your mails, look at skills, wallet, make & customize fittings, etc. Think of how f*cking wonderful that would be
