Why do people make goodbye Dust threads?
The game (like life) will go on without you. I'm not going to log in later and go man I really wanted to play this game but (insert dimwitted blueberry name here) doesn't play anymore so this game sucks. Maybe I'll shave off my neckbeard, get a gym membership and learn a trade so I can get a real job.

The "goodbye DUST" thread is mandatory notification when leaving the game, although most never actually leave.
Asking for the ISK by the first to reply is also mandatory.
It's in the Forum Rules, somewhere towards the back.
