So, I'm kinda broke, selling all basic stuff for isk, cuz I'm broke, and im sorta forced to use my starter fits.
Now, they did add racial weapons and made them all have 3 slots, but honestly, they don't compete with the other dropsuits. When I run starter fits, I have MUCH LESS AMMO, HP, FIREPOWER, AND REGEN/REP.
Those 4 areas NEED improvement. Think about it. This are the suits that we players will use for a while once they leave the academy and try to gain isk. If I die more than usual when running starter fits, how many more deaths oils new inexperienced players die when they play against these PROTO and adv players/squads. They won't like losskng and might leave. So. Let's fix them.
1. For militia and starter fits to be " more" effective, I propose truly making militia frames similar to assault dropsuits.
Currently, all m/s DROPSUITs have 3 slots, I think they should get 4 with reduced pg/cpu. Why? MILITIA ITEMS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE STANDARD QUALITY AT THE COST OF PG/CPU.
2. Militia weapons are also supposed to be standard quality at the cost of more pg/CPU , but they have LESS ammo. So, make them EXACTLY as standard weapons, except they still have more pg/CPU.
3. Hp is good at the moment.
4. Rechargers recharge less than std rechargers. Give it equal values.
To conclude, you have now made starter fits and militia more rounds to fire, more hp, and improved thier regen while still under basic stuff.

Its called "starter" fits for a reason, you are supposed to switch from them once you get used to this game. Just use basic gear instead of selling them, you should make profit if you use only basic gear in pubs.

It takes only 2-3 matches running frontline suits, to gain enough money to run basic suits, and as long as you stay with basic you won't have a problem to pay for those!
I don't see your point. If you concentrate on the essential skills (Scan precision, Shield and Armour) you will have bearable frontline suits within 1,5 to 3mil SP. I don't think it's necessary. I started several characters recently, and had no ISK issues whatsoever, and no I did not transfer any isk from my main, on the contrary, my low sp chars swim in ISK.
You are doing something wrong here. Don't spend money you don't have is the issue... No credit cards in dust... |

Here's what happened. The Dust Depression. When it was announced that legion will be a thing, many left, battles deceased for a little time. I had skilled into all pro weapons and 1 pro dropsuits, the rest at adv. the proto players came in to wreck once some good players left, I get stomped by squads or for SOME FRIKIN REASON I AAAALLLLWWWAAAYYYSSS END UP ON A LOOSING TEAM (which is why I run militia/starter fits) with players that aren't trying. And the pout is that I'm making much less ISK and playing less (only on weekends and summer a lot) yes I can run std but ehh. I'm at a point where ISk is limited. I'd rather run militia and stick up how I did when I first played the game. IM NOT THR ONLY ONE WHO HAS a THIS PROBLem AND this will also help new players.

Well, as I said, you obviously lived above what your wallet allows. I don't think that the Frontline suits should have the same value as a basic suit, so no I don't agree, and I think if you really need the extra ammo in the clip, just put a basic weapon on a Frontline suit and you are fine!
And again, there is no problem in making money with either frontline or Basic suits. This is a non issue. It might take you a little longer to get your isk back in a basic suit, but the Frontline suits need to have drawbacks, since they are free after all, and making them to good, just makes Basic stuff worthless. |
