I have always been Gallente , from the moment I met Eve and CCP in 2006. I became Gallente on here also , I use proto gallente logi and assault suits and fight for the Federation. I prefer logistics as my main role , as I can only muster up a few kills a game sadly , but I do a good job at repairing and keep ammo supplied and uplinks fresh. However, I am thinking of ditching my gallente ways , and grabbing up Minmatar logistics, and switching my current weapon skills up for something else. I do not use a scanner very often, but do always have remote reps on me and the bonuses would greatly benefit my play style more.
I have a few proto weapons I barely ever touch and would like to try out some of the others , and find a suitable replacement as a main weapon over my use of the assault rifle that iv'e had in my hands since day 1. I have tried using the RR but that charge up just kills me, because i'm so used to auo firing , so I died stupidly trying to jump out on people with no build up hah. I can't stand the scrambler rifles either.
Any suggestions on a good main weapon for a minmatar logistics..who likes to be up in the heat of things repping and occasionally switching to weapon and engaging? so something pretty good at CQC, but not like shotgun close..and something that won't blow myself up easily..
or should I even do this...
Hell if I know, funny thing is my eve pilot eventually crossed trained heavily into minmatar skills also... should I just keep my mistakes ( plenty of them..like sniper rifles specialization 4 and I pull that thing out pretty much never.. and plenty more stuff) and start cross training into it.. sticking with the eve spirit of living with your choices, no take backs. Or go ahead and take the easy route option CCP gave us that they said they would never gie us.. lol .. and spend 38k aurum and go with fresh start.
Has anyone else switched up from gallente to minmatar logistics, or has them both maxed..that can tell me if minmatar is better choice so I can be more comfortable in knowing if I'm making the right choice..
It feels dirty to even think of it..but the damn option is there and I don't feel like grinding up so many more sp knowing it's right there at my fingertips  |

I had a friend who was die-hard Gal Logi and now uses Min Logies. He's opinion is that they are both fine suits, but since he is a butt pirate to hippos lately he saw the change to the Min Logi as needed, and honestly I see his survivability increasing due to his extra mobility and speed.
They are both wonderful suits though.
As for the weapon, since he's always in a squad with his logi I always see him using a Laser Rifle which oddly works for the sockets we prefer, especially since everyone else runs short range weaponry. Then again, this is the crazy nut that used to use a PLC on his Gal Logi.

Id say yes to refunding. And if you want a good Logi weapon you can try Breach SMG, since no charge weapons or id suggest
Magsec, best range for sidearm, decent damage output, but charge up and climb so regular SMG is nice. CR is good is burst-fire
so Assault CR would probably fit and good on PG/CPU.
AR, all ARs are good IMHO.
Um, since i run min id say min is good logi, but its the most squishy out of all of them, but has three equipment at level 1.

Do it! I never thought I would want a respec, I bit the bullet and bought one few weeks ago and I am happy I did. I've got 28m sp still unallocated yet I have all my cores and favourite weapons n suits maxed with so much SP to spare.
It's amazing how much junk sp (Read: Poor choices / old stuff) you can accumulate over a few years playing this game lol.

was unaware that it was FOTM , I don't keep up with that ****. I'm basing the decision off of what way I have always played, and the bonuses being in favor of that playstyle.

I only need to go from Gallente Sentinel 4 to 5 to have every Gallente suit at proto, and I'm quite sad there aren't any Gallente Heavy weapons.
I'm, also, sad that all my suits can only use the Ion Pistol as a sidearm since it's the only Gallente one as well. I mean, I love that thing, but I'd love to have an SMG or something for a change. |
