6 of the 8 matches I played today were all stomps. Why? Because squads kept leaving matches. At the end of the matches, the losing side had 2 - 5 players left. Anyone else notice this happening more often, or was it just a coincidence that so many squads left the matches I played? Could it be because of connection issues?

some people wont play certain maps, could be that the squads are protesting that map.
But the exact answer, who knows!

In my case, it wasn't on the tunnel map. It happened to me too even on a regular skirmish map with the Orbital Artillery Outpost which is often the most fun map I know of. My team suffered due to players leaving mid match (9 players remaining) but even then we at least kept pressing on.
I'm guessing that not that many people realize right now that matchmaking has been updated recently and that the rest probably think it hasn't been fixed and are leaving thinking so.
I'll give it about a week or two to see how it goes with the new matchmaking.

yeah that's what I was attributing it to, matchmaking. yeah np, lol was strange seeing 8-9 people disappear from 3 Dom matches earlier.

This is a serious issue. One of my Doms ended 7v15. Scotty's not putting new people into matches where people leave.

There needs to be a penalty for constantly leaving matches, I get it, that squads are leaving to get the guy who didn't make it into battle, or somebody cancelled by accident. But generally there should be a penalty (that increases over time) The game voice says it, so it should be noted. Maybe just a new stat, that shows your amount of battles left to battles finished. The stat of shame so to say... |
