Friendly redline becomes a yellow zone. When you enter, or spawn, a 3:00 timer starts. At the end of the 3 minutes, you die. The timer stops if you leave the yellow line. |

Alright but let's take into account RDVs and vechiles.
Remember RDVs glitch like no tomorrow. I still occasionally get the one where they hold my vechole in place for an excruciating amount of time. And other people may be waiting for your RDV to be complete before they get their vechile.
Also you need to factor in lag. Sometimes it does get bad that you could spend 3min running out of the redline in a sentinel suit.
I find your lack of heaviness... disturbing...

How about any time you are in your own redline, the game treats you as AFK, regardless of whether you are moving or not. This would also solve the problem of AFK'ers.
Anyone sitting in the redline would eventually be removed from battle.
Who cares what some sniper has to say.

red line kills you and no red line ...... the 1st 2 posts wow......
are you trying to kill this game ???
or did you just want to spawn kill?
or maybe you have not played ambush there's no red line there to hide in .
CCP dev,s have better things to do them help spawn killers
but put it this way in the eve only beta there was no red line .
its a rush to be the 1st to spawn camp and farm . there's no rely gaming skill after that.(3.6 MINS AVG)
its why there is a red line and cover mostly for it .
it stops forced spawn camping it make the game fair to new players that just joined. As well as puts a risk vs reward on pro . now you can cry about how "Red-line Vagabonds" run in and out or uses this to lower there rick vs reward but it,s not that big of a deal as you make it out to be when most of them don't help there team as a player running taking points or picking his team mates up. most of the time teams with "Red-line Vagabonds" dont win and get a lower pay out. as well as get less warpoints. the removeing of the red line will just in put more uses on cheap drop suits fits and work in the fav of pro stopping spawn farmers and spawn campers and drive new players out of the game and 40% of the player base that's been playing more then 1 yr. and over all kill dust 514.
SORRY IF YOU DONT LIKE IT but that's more fair and better for this game to grow then killing it for EGO,S and Farming SP and war points from spawns.

Lol just all my lol If that's the case they should be free rewards instead of fittings you pay for, I don't run proto ever but even I think that that is just a horrible idea. All it would do is punish vets, what's the perpous of making vehicles and pro suits a warpoint based resource? |

So if your team is pushed back too your red line you now have two ways to die instead of one?? I don't think you understand what the redline is actually for my friend.

as a new feature of NPE, while you're getting stomped, you'll die repeatedly for no apparent reason until the match ends just because the vets are too busy skullf*cking you to let you leave your base. enjoy! think about it. just for like 5 seconds, before you post something like this
besides which, redlines altogether are in strong conflict with the original intent and purpose of dust. instead of finding a way to push players out of them, we need to be finding a way to do away with them without wrecking the game we have.
jump portals, pve, better link with eve PI and some changes to the way the game handles matchmaking, district selection, and gamemode selection may make a noteworthy impact, but i'm trying to work out how what i'm thinking would be doable in the context of the current game before blurting out something stupid/ridiculously work intensive... may have more to say on that in the near future if i have time. or maybe not.

I don't think you understand what the redline is actually for my friend. Simple. Pull out a dampened scout, cloak, and run out of the redline, to drop an uplink for your teammates. Sitting deep in your redline with a sniper rifle, large rail gun, or sniper rifle is giving up, and should be treated as such. |
