I've seen more PLC action since the last hotfix than in all my years playing DUST.  It's all about the Melee attacks now - Next Hype

I think it should be called Flavor of the Month.
It is a weapon that has been in a TERRIBLE place since release and is now in a somewhat decent place. People are trying it out now, which makes it popular: FOTM. Certainly not overpowered but I would imagine a lot of people are trying it out because it is in a workable place now.
Remember that FOTM doesn't have to mean "the best strategy."

Nope.
People have just now realized that it is a fun weapon, and can be ok AV against mediocre Tankers.
If a PLC user wishes to be optimal and competitive, perhaps in the cesspools named FW and PC, they will switch to HMGs or something.
Anyway FOTM is clearly jumpers. I come across maybe one or two per pub[ic] domination match.

Myofibs have made it much more effective in CQC. The recent buff in damage didn't hurt either. |

FOTM tends to be something EVERYONE runs because it is "broken" or working better than intended.
The PLC is a skill weapon. There are too many players that would worry about their precious KDR to run a PLC and have fun.
I was kinda being a smartazz when I said PLC FOTM. But that video did look like it would be fun. |

The cannon... Oh how you became so popular... It was so rare around the time of the low speed high arc... Why did all the people flock to you... Why do people try to make you op too...
