I am calling out all the people who need a squad to help them wipe their ass after every time they take a **** on a new player/blueberry.

Frankly I like how with a matchmaking AI in Dust you can still see randoms on one squad and as I write this is its 4 players from Molon abe, 4 from Rebelion tlc. A better matchmaking AI should be pairing these 2 on the same team. Hey that's a theoretical of course but also shows the problems of the game. Playing solo isn't so much a problem its the degree that even if you squad up not everyone is actually "squading up"; sometimes the random squad lead just wants to do a warbage strike. Actually this community does kind of also suck in terms of "omgz sorry we run proto on the randoms in pubs oh poo hoo". Yea like that helps keep Dust alive. Players like to say "well who cares about Dust because Legion is on it's way". Yea you want to know the last game CCP it was developing and showing at fanfest a few years back? it was called World of Darkness so 'nuff said on that. The matchmaking is the crux core of he problem; without Dust is worse off than EvE in trying to keep it's playerbase intact while generating a profit. That being said CCP as a whole IS NOT WHOLLY PROFITABLE. Yeah some random can complain that they keep running into squads and we keep decrying how the AI matchmaking is horrible, so why not let it be at that and everyone else can stop being a@@hats about it Just a thought because it's not like Legion will ever nor Dust right now can survive on it's own without more fresh blood. But hey if the lot of you don't mind telling players to f--k off, I hate to ell you when they pull Dust off life support your back to what, CoD? Batlefield Hardline? Planetside? Here's the irony of it all; when the community of players just stops wanting new players to play the game because they believe their views irrelevant, that's when Dust gets effed off; there's a point where vets stop buying aurum or playing the game actively as often because ISK or SP's don't require it. No new players and the microtransactions that CCP relies on for Dust ends up making Dust a useless product and that's when you're all back playing Destiny and whining about how Dust was a great shooter and never seem to understand many of you are the partial reason for bringing down the community and the game itself. An observation really and not one terribly far from the mark given the replies to it.

The difference between the(dwindling) number of vets and the noobs is that the noobs quit almost immediately, except for a very small number who stick around for awhile. What is the biggest power multiplier in pubs? I think we all can agree that it's squads. If we can accept that answer then the next question is: What is the biggest power multiplier in squads? There are several candidates: higher meta gear because it's safer to run in a squad voice comms shared scans warbarge strikes teamwork What can we get rid of in that list to make pubs better for a mixed population? Not teamwork. Not voice comms. Maybe warbarge strikes but nobody is complaining about warbarge strikes so there's no point. That leaves gear metalevel and shared scans. Imo shared scans are prolly a bigger force multiplier than protogear. Shared scans tell the squad heavies and Scr users where to point their weapons, tell the RE users when and where to place them, tell the logi where is a good time and place to perform triage. I propose we lose shared scans in pubs, try it for awhile and if the NPE is still terrible we put a metalimit on squad members in pubs, set at somewhere around the meta for a full advanced loadout. Either we segregate the server population or find accommodations something like what i've proposed above. There's enough long-term value in having new players mixing with vets that imo it's worth giving up a few things to keep pubs a place that can happen. You speak as if there are only new players on the enemy team. Ambush is a great place to build squad cohesion especially when you go up against another squad like kaizuka snipers regular ambush squad or the many other squads. Ambush is a great simulation of being overwhelmed on a point of PC, of course there are a ton on scrubs in lolpubs that will often determine who loses but building squad cohesion is something you're supposed to strive for. Now keep that single digit I.Q. to yourself next time. No wonder why assert dom made a ban petition for you lol.
