I am nearing three weeks back after five months gone and my warbarge is close to having two slots upgradeable. The first will cost 2.4K for components while the second is the ISK generator for 2.7K.
There are a bunch of other slots but no indication of their purpose or order of progression. The first upgrade that enabled the ISK generator didn't provide any option, blink - here it is. Fine, the last thing I need is more ISK but whatever.
Is there a spreadsheet somewhere or a forum topic? I was unable to find one in my search.

As you upgrade your warbarge it opens up the next module automatically, there is no choice.
Level 5 gets you to the lab. |

If your goal is min/maxing, get level 3 for the ammo facility, upgrade it to 5, and leave it at that. All the other systems are either not worth your time right now or are directed at new berries to help them catch up to the vets.

I'm getting lvl 3 in an hour when I get on. Dat ammo.
Lvl 5 is really the only thing one needs for those weapons.

What does that do?
You likes indicate you are not a new belle. So I am guessing it is worthwhile. Although, I have no idea where it is in the phantom warbarge layout.

The Experimental Laboratory is unlocked once you have achieved a level 5 warbarge.
The experimental laboratory gives you a set amount of collectible weapons of either Officer or Experimental tier, both better than prototype, for (practically) free. Level one grants one weapon per day, and as you upgrade it, you can claim more per day. Here's where the (practically) comes back. You must use warbarge components to claim your weapons, and I can't remember how many it takes, I think 199 or something like that.

It's not worth upgrading any subsystem above level 3. The jump from level 3 to 4 takes 25,334 components or 76,002 AUR  . They jump to level 5 is close to double that.
Can I haz ur ISK?
