I have tried to have ask questions on this forum but the answers were very unsatisfactory, so are there any other forums or webpages with intelligent discussion and up to date accurate information?
Some examples of unsatisfactory answers from the official forums.
*When I asked about the assault scrambler I was told it does not overheat and has the standard assault scrambler has less DPS than the proto assault combat rifle.
*When I asked about scanners I was told only the other members in your squad could see your scan.
*When many people discuss pubstomping they assume the only people that don't like them are bad players, This is certainly not the case, I don't like them but this has nothing to do with my lack of skill, I still would not like them if I was the best player in the world |

I can answer this one for you if that makes it any better.
As it stands, the whole team can see the scan from an active scanner, unless it's the Focused. Only Squaddies can see passives. Points for active scans are only gained if it's an assist with a squad member.
Note: To my knowledge the information is up to date and I apologise if something has changed that I'm not aware of.

The assault scrambler does overheat. I haven't used it in awhile to tell you after how long, but it was slightly less than a full clip last I tried. I'm not sure what you meant about the AScR and the CR. Of course the standard has less dps..
Edit: as far as protostomping goes, no one LIKES protostompers, only those who can't do it complain about it..

That is not right, the standard AScR has 10 more dps than the proto CR.
the standard assault scramber , 705.88 rounds per minute, damage per shot 38, dps 447
the proto assault scrambler , 705.88 rounds per minute, damage per shot 42, dps 494
he standard assault combat rifle , 1200 rounds per minute, damage per shot 19.85 , dps 397
the proto assault combat rifle , 1200 rounds per minute, damage per shot 21.83, dps 437

look like geniuses:

ASCR does overheat, but rarely. (I think)
And I wouldn't start a conversation about pub stomping. Almost 3 years of tears have been collected on these very forums about that topic.

My pointt is that originally I did not know and I did ask and I was told the wrong thing, There are some people that say the right thing and I grateful but they are in the minority.
